However, there are some exceptions to the rule, that curators of collections have no influence on. Once the mods are downloaded, there will be no clicking, other than changing profiles! > This is also why I insist on enabling profiles, so you can have profiles based on different collections. While it is quite automatic for Premium-Users of NexusMods, Free-Users will have to do some initial clicking to donwload the mods. Complete, with all rules and exceptions - even optional mod recomendations - which you may - or not - enabled for your gameplays. This allows users who are not as comfortable modding to download a preconfigured mod setup for their gameplays. Recently, a new feature has been made public, Collections! Well ok, maybe only F4SE to bypass the steam launcher (fallout4.exe, or to be more precice the "fallout4_launcher.exe"). This said, I do recomend to always keep your "Default" profile without any mods - whatsoever. This way, there is "no chance" of you messing (and therefor destroying) a specific savegame, by accidently loading a wrong character - it is is as well a savegame using the very same modlist. Say you want to create a BoS and Minuteman setup, this way, you'll preserve your modlist between saves even when you change between between different character saves, as you will only see other savegames using the very same modlist. This said, Vortex allows us to use a different savegame path for each profile (or modlist setup). Mods can be sensitive, so if you accidently load a savegame while not all its mods are loaded and then end the game, you might break that current savegame. Sometimes we want to differ our own gameplay as well, this is where profiles become handy. The fGun* entries, reduce the amount of gunshells that remain visible in the worldspace, therefor reducing possible lag. ![]() Last but not least, the first entry: cl rim 0.0005 and setgs iTerminalDisplayRate 1200, makes the mod "Faster Terminal" obsolete, you can make it even faster or adjust it slower for more effect.Just as a reminder, beware of the triangle of death (Sanctuary, RR & Abernathy), specialy with the setting iWorkshopSettlerPopulationMax 30, but you can increase this as well if you plan on just building at Starlight Drive-In, the Minuteman Castle or on Spectacle Island - or decrease back to 20 if you want to re-build Sanctuary to a hughe settlement.likewise you can remove or change the iHacking* entries to your liking, or make it default again, to me, it is just annoyingly cumbersome to stop at 3 and reopen the terminal, even with faster terminal display settings.you can remove the fJetpack* values to reset the jackpack behaviour to default. The sLocalSavePath=* only works if you never before have deployed any mods using vortex.the values fPipboyScreen*PA=* make the PowerArmor-PipBoy lights more intense and focused. The Download contains the "raw" zipfiles (zip, 7z, rar), where as the stage folder contains the unpacked files for faster deployment. You can now customize the appearance to your liking in the "Theme" tab.We can keep the download directory quite simple: E:\Vortex\Downloads.Set the mod staging dir to: "E:\Vortex\Games\\Stage", this will collect all game-data under the directory, "Games".Also, you might want to enable "Enable when installed" (2nd green), where as a tinkerer, you might want to disable "Deploy mods when enabled" (1st green, highly adviced NOT to for newcomers). ![]() If you changed the mode, you will need to restart Vortex now. If you are the only person using this computer, it does not matter at all, but if you share this computer, it is highly recomend to keep "Per User" (default). ![]()
